TAKE A STAND AGAINST BULLYING
The U.S. Department of Education has concluded that bullying and harassment affects nearly one in every three American school children in grades six through ten.
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12
So often as teenagers and young adults we live life with the attitude that we are invincible and that nothing will ever happen to us. We think that we can ‘change if we want to’ and we have a “lifetime” to do the right thing so I am going to “live a little”.
How many times have you said:
“Next year I will do better in school, and actually go to class…”
“Just one more joint I will stop smoking tomorrow…”
“I will change tomorrow…”
“Just one more time...”
“Next year I will _____________....”
The only guarantee we have is RIGHT NOW! We are not promised a next year, next month, next week, or even tomorrow. Every minute of every day is a gift from God. This passage in Psalm 90 helps us to be aware that tomorrow may never come and we should live a life worthy and pleasing to God TODAY!
